The Weighty Issue - Job Candidates Who are Overweight
A friend has asked me about job discrimination against those who are very overweight. Being less than slender myself, I have thought about this quite a bit and do believe that sometimes being big can result in being turned down for a job. So how do you minimize the effect of this factor in the decision making process?
One thing that you can do is to present yourself well and dress up and appropriately for a serious interview.
But there are some other things you can do to make yourself stand out in a positive way that will help overshadow the negative impression that being overweight can have on your candidacy. We will get into that early next week. So have a great weekend!
