Scratching the Inside of my Head
These people at Monster are really quite amusing at times, though I think not so much intentionally. They had an article on the site about the 100 questions you might be asked in an interview setting. Most of them were the usual cast of predictable characters like tell me about yourself, strengths, weaknesses, etc.
One question was to tell the interviewer to give him ten ways to use a pencil other than for writing. I just got a kick out of that one. So, if I dream up ridiculous ways to use my pencil that are more absurd than you might think up, I guess I am more imaginative and maybe have a shorter sanity leash than the next person? Seriously though, what can they realistically hope to conclude about a person with the answer to that question? Even a psychoanalyst might have some trouble interpreting the value of the responses.
My first impulse was to say I would use it to scratch the inside of my head if I could reach in there. Any thoughts from my readers? More on the uses of a pencil in the future. I promise.
