Keeping in Ship Shape
So many of my friends have been hit with cutbacks and layoffs in the workplace and they are in distress. It is hard not to blame yourself or feel a big punch in the ego when you end up out of work.
One way to help yourself is to kick back and do something you love. Whether that is going on a ski trip or - in my case, heading out on the open seas - take the time to do something nice for yourself and you will feel better.
When you get back from you hiatus, you can get back into the job search mode with more gusto and stamina than would have been the case. Keeping yourself mentally healthy is really important to enhancing your career prospects.
