Career Mistakes
Some people make the wrong career choices. Interestingly enough, I have seen as many people under-extend themselves as I have seen over-extend. This is a tragic situation in my book, at least.
When someone “settles” for a job that is not challenging enough or less than what they are capable of doing - very often it is a monetary call - that they stay in a job that they hate or are not well suited for, everyone suffers.
I used to work at a place I will not name, call it MMEXXON or something. We had a group of factory machine operators who were extremely well paid. Overpaid in my view, but that is another discussion.
One guy in particular was a chronic, obnoxious complainer who hated his job, the company and most of the people he worked with. The bottom line for this guy is that he was too smart to be doing a machine operator job and he had to find other ways to amuse himself. He chose to be a bad-ass complainer, much to my chagrin.
If you hate your job or the company, get out now. Don’t make yourself and as many as hundreds of other people miserable because you made a bad career choice. Just leave and make a better one.
