With the help of my daughter, Jessica, who also runs a blog on Today.com (Bookpublishing.today.com), I signed up with entrecard. If you are unfamiliar with this site, it is a community access site that allows you to “drop” your entrecard, a web business card, on other blogs and they, in turn, drop cards on your site.

This is a great way to discover new and interesting blogs and to meet other bloggers who have similar sites and may share interests with you. Go to entrecard.com and find out for yourself. There is a tutorial document that explains how the system works and it is free.

I have discovered some very fun blogs and have communicated with many terrific people who are doing the same thing I am doing, trying to widen the media exposure of their blogs. Some people are less sociable and are just playing the numbers game, and instead of reading blogs, they are dropping cards all over the place.

That’s fine for them, but I actual read many of the blog entries I peruse and have found lots of good information, funny blog entries and some very nice people. Try it out and you might be pleasantly surprised. Good luck and many thanks to all those that have visited me by “dropping” by.
