Lists for Life
![]()
I am one of those people who make lists for everything. Going away on a trip, getting ready for the holidays or even preparing for weekend visitors puts me into a listmaking mode. My kids call me “the illustrious listress” for good reason.
I am not cooking a turkey for Thanksgiving day, as I will be heading up to Massachusetts to visit my brother and his family, so I only have reason to make one list, that for what to pack. I will, however, cook my own turkey after the holiday, because I cannot live with the possibility of no leftover turkey in the already bulging-at-the-seams refrigerator.
Lists are good. If I were preparing for company for the holiday, I would already have most of the big housework stuff done and the spare bedroom beds changed. I would be polishing silver and stacking up the china, planning for nine or ten for dinner. It is nice not to be running around doing all that for a change.
The nice thing about lists is not having to reinvent the wheel everytime the need for a list comes up. I already have most of what I will need on an old list from last year. Try my lists for life plan and you might find you can relax a bit more, knowing you have the details covered.
