Dealing with the Difficult Co-Worker
You love your job and have a great boss and lots of challenge on the job. However, there is always that one guy in the office that knows exactly how to push your buttons and ruin your otherwise good day.
Welcome to every company in the world, my friend. Every place you work has at least one of these people who don’t like to work, don’t like the job, the boss the company or all the above and want to make you one of them.
What do you do when this guy is sending you stupid emails and calling you to goof off and take breaks with him? How do you extricate yourself from the likes of him? Just say no. Tell him to get lost in as nice a way as you can. Let him know that you won’t play games with him because you have work to do and that’s what they pay you (and him) for, so tell him to get back to work too.
If it gets worse, talk to your boss about it. You don’t want to be seen with him or labeled with him as a malcontent. Say no often enough and it will stick.
