Job Hunting and the Kill
![]()

Have you noticed that over the course of the last few years in particular that the job hunting process has changed dramatically? If you are not internet savvy, your employment prospects are decidedly limited.
The problem is though, now you are competiting in a national marketplace for local jobs. Instead of advertising in the Sunday newspapers, now even small companies are putting jobs out to bid on Monster and other big name job sites. The cost of doing this is only a fraction of the cost of a newspaper ad, and reaches a huge audience.
Combining that fact with a very tight job market and it has become increasingly more competitive and more difficult to find a suitable position, if you are laid off and over the age of forty.
But hope is here and we will talk about that more tomorrow.
